A U.S. Naval Academy and Georgetown Law honors graduate, Peter Martino is a seasoned trial attorney, former CEO, and law professor. Before co-founding Honos Law PLLC, he practiced at top firms such as Quinn Emanuel, and served as CEO of multiple companies. With deep expertise in both complex civil litigation and business transactions, he delivers results in both routine and high-stakes matters. Licensed in New York and Washington, D.C., he’s an advocate you want on your team.
An honors graduate of Harvard Law School, Alexei Silverman is a seasoned expert in complex civil litigation, handling contract disputes, property litigation, insurance cases, and employment law. He also leads a highly successful family law practice. Before co-founding Honos Law, he spent over a decade practicing high-stakes litigation at top firms like Covington & Burling. Known for delivering strong results, he is admitted to practice in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Peter Martino, Esq. co-founded Honos Law in July 2019 and served as a Founding Partner for seven years. In July 2026, he transitioned to a part-time Of Counsel role commensurate with his acceptance of a full-time tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Law. At Honos Law, he has specialized in both civil litigation and complex business transactions. With over 25 years of experience as a CEO and general counsel for international technology and retail businesses—including two-time recognition as an Inc. 5000 CEO—he has successfully led companies from startup to financing, growth, and acquisition, including the $30M sale of a software company to a French public firm.
A 1985 U.S. Naval Academy graduate and former nuclear submarine officer, Peter was deeply impacted by 9/11 while living in Manhattan. Driven to serve our country again, he was appointed by President Bush in 2003 as COO for the Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection at the newly established Department of Homeland Security. Then, at the age of 40, he embarked on a legal career, graduating cum laude from Georgetown Law in 2007.
Peter honed his litigation expertise at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan in New York City, representing major clients such as Nokia, Home Depot, Access Industries, Mattel, and NFL Properties. He later served as CEO and General Counsel of a national retailer before co-founding Honos Law PLLC in 2019. He has first-chaired both bench and jury trials, argued appeals, and presently serves as a law professor for Civil Procedure, Sales, and Transnational Litigation. Recently, he has also become a published author.
Licensed in New York and Washington, D.C., Peter’s legal practice has spanned civil litigation, appeals, business law, contract negotiation, mergers & acquisitions, trademarks, and copyrights. Alexei M. Silverman is a seasoned civil litigator with deep expertise in business litigation, real estate disputes, employment law, and family law. He co-founded Honos Law in 2019, bringing with him years of courtroom experience and a strategic, cost-benefit approach to achieve his clients’ goals while mitigating risk. His elite education and big law background continue to provide a strong foundation for his advocacy.
In real estate matters, Alexei represents commercial buyers and sellers, negotiates leases, and resolves disputes, including in high-profile developments like the District Wharf. He also guides residential clients through the home buying and selling process, with a focus on resolving contract disputes in D.C. and Maryland.
His family law practice includes pre-nuptial and marital separation agreements, contested divorces, child custody disputes, and civil protection orders. With a practical and client-focused approach, he helps families navigate difficult legal challenges.
A Harvard Law honors graduate (1996), Alexei clerked for Judge Suzanne B. Conlon of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois before moving to Washington, D.C. He spent over a decade at premier firms like Covington & Burling, where he led litigation training for associates. In 2009, he founded his own law practice and a decade later partnered with Peter Martino to co-found Honos Law PLLC.
Licensed in Washington, D.C. and Maryland, Alexei regularly practices before state and federal courts, including appellate courts. Whether handling high-stakes litigation or guiding clients through business and family matters, he delivers strategic, results-driven legal solutions.
