Peter Martino, Esq. is a highly distinguished and respected litigation and complex business transactions attorney, business leader, and recent author. With over twenty-five years of experience as both a CEO and general counsel for several highly successful international technology and retail businesses, and twice recipient of recognition as a CEO of an Inc. 5000 company, he is a force to be reckoned with. Peter has facilitated, marketed, and directed the operations for multiple companies from birth, through financing, growth, and sale — from both the business and legal perspectives. Among his notable accomplishments is the $30M sale of one of his companies, a software company, to a French public company.
While living through September 11, 2001 in NYC, Peter, who is a 1985 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a former nuclear submarine officer, was drawn to serve his country again. Fulfilling this ambition, in 2003, President Bush appointed Peter to the Senior Executive Service, as COO for the Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection at the new U.S. Department of Homeland Security. After fulfilling his service there, at the age of 40, he decided to pursue a law degree and subsequently graduated from Georgetown Law, cum laude, in 2007.
Peter then invested three years as an attorney and successful litigator at one of the nation’s top law firms, Quinn, Emanuel, Urquhart, and Sullivan, in their New York City office. His practice focused on highly complex civil litigation. He served as the first chair litigator in several smaller cases while demonstrating his leadership and teamwork in major cases for notable clients such as Nokia, Home Depot, Access Industries, Mattel, and NFL Properties. He next served as CEO and General Counsel of a national retailer from 2010-2018. In October 2018, Peter joined a regional law firm in Maryland on a part-time basis to refresh his litigation skills, and in June 2019 co-founded Honos Law PLLC in Washington, D.C. Peter also maintains ownership and control of a successful eCommerce consumer products company and has recently finished writing his first book.
Peter is admitted to the New York Supreme Court, the District Court for the Southern District of New York, the D.C. Superior Court, the D.C. Court of Appeals, and the D.C. District Court. His practice areas include civil litigation and appeals, business formation, contract negotiation, financings, mergers & acquisitions, trademarks, copyrights, and general business law.

Alexei M. Silverman engages in a robust civil law practice with well-developed specialties in business litigation, real-estate-related litigation (commercial and residential), employment litigation, real estate transactional work, and family law. In civil litigation, Alexei calls upon years of practical courtroom experience and uses a cost-benefit approach to simultaneously achieve his clients’ aims and creatively mitigate their downside risks. His elite education and big law training provide a solid foundation for the skills he deploys in court.
In real estate transactions, Alexei represents buyers of commercial property, negotiating purchase and sale agreements and retail leases, and resolving lease disputes, including in new developments such as the District Wharf. He guides individual clients through the residential purchase and sale process, with practical expertise in resolving contract disputes arising from residential real estate transactions in D.C. and Maryland.
In his active family law practice, Alexei helps D.C. and Maryland residents navigate the challenges of pre-nuptial agreements, marital separation agreements, contested divorce, child custody disputes, and obtaining civil protection orders.
Alexei earned his J.D. at Harvard Law School, graduating with honors in 1996. After a federal judicial clerkship for Judge Suzanne B. Conlon of the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Alexei moved to Washington, D.C.
